Fairmount regularly reaches out to the local community through various events on campus. The largest and most well-known of these events is our annual Benefit Auction and Chicken Barbecue, held the third Saturday in September. Pictures of our past Benefit Auction are posted on BBQ and Auction page.
A second, very popular event is Heritage Day, held the first Saturday in June. It is a day intended to celebrate the cultural roots of the community within which Fairmount is grounded. Heritage Day is also the culminating day of the Heritage Day Silent Auction, an event that begins in late October. The Silent Auction features fine antiques and collectibles, rotated twice monthly in the Wheat Ridge lobby. Every first and third Monday morning at 8:30 a.m. when the clock chimes, the auction ends and a new one begins. Items for the Silent Auction are always pictured on the website for those interested people who may not be able to check out the items in person.
Other events, such as seminars, regular blood drives and special speakers are are a regular part of Fairmount’s activities, and are posted on our News page.
